About the Event
Join Dementia Care Warriors for "a different kind of support group" for caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer's or related dementia. There is no age limit, but you must be "young at heart" and enjoy socializing in a laid back, supportive and friendly environment.
This quarter's "Caregiver Connect" outing is Improv for Caregivers brought to you by Stomping Ground Comedy Theater.
Improv for Caregivers, is an experience that blends therapeutic techniques and improvisational comedy games to help caregivers cultivate ease, joy, and flexibility in their relationships and feel ore hopeful. In this interactive workshop , you’ll have fun developing a skill set that helps you communicate in new ways, understand your loved one’s changing perspective, diffuse challenging behavior, and cope with the stress of it all. When you learn improv skills for caregiving, you’ll worry less, laugh more, and find joy in the everyday with your loved ones.
